A little update...

I decided to create a terrain in Terragen because I can't sculpt my own. I think it looks much better than my old one. Here is a picture. I also took a picture of my basic menu.

Stocked up!

I made a tin and a packet model last night, and stocked up one of the shop selves for a new screenshot. These textures are just temporary as it looked better having some form of colour on rather than the untextured look. Next to model will be the cash register. Here is a screenshot.

Art update.

I have worked some more today on assets, and so far have created a bird house and an enterable shop. I will model some tins and packets for the shelves soon, along with the cash register. Here are some screens.

Early hamlet test.




I decided to export the models I have made so far, and play around with placement. I found one that I like. What are your thoughts?

The tudor house and small cottage are pretty much complete. The big house is a WIP still.

Actually..


Forget about the townhouse, it was a bad idea trying to do a town, so im working on a hamlet... Here is a pic of the first cottage (not finished yet) These textures are simple sketchup ones, the final model will have hi res textures.

New model for the Asylum.


I've had a short break from the project to work on other things in the real world, but i have started up work again on "The Asylum". I have been modelling a townhouse for the start of the game. I have joined two together in this image as one on its own looks wierd in my opinion. Here is the progress so far. Once I have it textured, I'll post some LE shots.

Mystery


I was walking towards the asylum and this strange shadow appears. If i continue going forward. it disappears. Reminds me of a ghost XD. This could possibly be the door frame at the end of the room inside.

Project Update - Basic menu is working

Ive been working on the coding side of the Asylum today as well as the art side. So far i have a basic interior with the 1st floor walls modelled in. Next to come is the staircase. Now, the coding side is making progress too. I have added a basic menu since. Tonight i wanted to add intros to the menu that automatically change. I added 2 of these. With help from Lumooja from leadwerks, i now know how to make timers. So big thanks go out to lumooja :D.

The Asylum








The Asylum is a new project i have decided to start. I love horror games, and I would love to create my own also. The asylum will be set in a mental asylum. You will start outside the asylum and make your way through the rooms killing enemies on the way. This gameplay is not yet solid and may end up being an arcade style game. But for now i will post some shots.
